MEET JAMES.
James "Jimmy" Daniels grew up in southern Maine with a pair of clippers in one hand and a comb in the other. What started as fades for his buddies in the driveway turned into a full-blown obsession with the craft — hot towels, straight razors, classic pomades, the whole nine yards.
In 2022 he opened Retrospect Barber Shop on Elm Street with one goal: bring back the neighborhood shop. The kind of place where the flag's on the wall, the kids get a lollipop after the cut, and every walk-in gets the same honest work as the regulars.
Today Jimmy runs a four-chair crew that takes pride in every head that walks out the door. Old-school, no shortcuts, all heart.

FROM THE CHAIR.
"Best cut I've had in years. Jimmy took his time, no rushing. Feels like a real barbershop should."
"Brought my 6-year-old for his first haircut. The whole crew was so patient and kind. He walked out grinning."
"Honors the Hero's Discount and treats every vet with respect. Sharp fade, sharper conversation."
"Hot towel shave from Tobi is worth the drive. This place has soul."
